The Keeping Society of Philadelphia is actively engaged in numerous nominations to add endangered or undesignated historic properties to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places. Currently, the Keeping Society has more than 20 active nominations that have been filed with the Philadelphia Historical Commission. Many of these nominations are in the staff review phase–part of the “complete and correct” process. Once this process is complete, a notice of the proposed designation is sent to the property owner and then there are two hearings.
